Step into Cafe Am Dorfplatz, a charming haven nestled in the heart of Allschwil at Dorfpl. 7. Housed in a beautifully restored half-timbered building, this quaint café offers not just delightful coffee but a welcoming atmosphere that makes every visit memorable.

The café features a spacious garden, perfect for enjoying a warm cup of coffee while basking in the fresh air. Strategically positioned near the 6er tram line, it’s an ideal pit stop for locals and travelers alike. Customers rave about the café’s enchanting setting, and it’s easy to see why—there's an undeniable romance that permeates the air, especially when you’re savoring one of their well-crafted coffee drinks.

Patrons like Silvio Turini have described it as a “very beautiful establishment,” and once you step inside, you’ll find the ambiance is cozy and the service exemplary. The hosts take pride in being attentive and welcoming, ensuring that every guest feels right at home.

While the café’s offerings are primarily sweet pastries and drinks, Anesa Zekiri notes the “very good food” that accompanies the drinks. Imagine sinking into a comfy chair, sipping on a rich, aromatic espresso, and indulging in a lovingly made pastry that melts in your mouth. Marisa Lehmann shares the joy of enjoying a delicious ice cream sundae amid a romantic backdrop—an experience that captures the heart and taste buds alike.

Sehr schönes Lokal in einem alten Fachwerkhaus . Nette aufmerksame Gastgeberin. Café mit relativ größerem Garten direkt an der Schlaufe vom 6er Tram . Immer einen Besuch wert, sehr guter Café ‼

Such a friendly cosy place. A delight to walk in. I believe friendliest place in Basel/land. I can't rate the food, I am going there for coffee.

Klein, gemütlich, romantische Altstadt und einen wirklich sehr leckeren Eisbecher gegessen. Wenn bei dieser Szenerie kein Amore aufkommt, weiss ich auch nicht... :)

Unfortunately, it is not a cafe, i.e. only sweet pastry and drinks. At least, on Saturday lunchtime. Howy, they were good. The atmosphere is cosy, but the service lacks friendliness if you are not a German-speaker.
